Cant properly crop

The erase feature either cant get close enough to borders or erases the border. Maybe if I had a pad and stylus itd be easier, but I only have my phone. Its really frustrating the cut screen wont even show you the remaining area you want to erase. It shows in other modes, just not the one in which you edit. Also cant get an edit to stay and save a different size than when it was imported.
